Can I Lock The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver To My 2017 Audi A4 Allroad

Question:

If the removable receiver is held in with a standard bolt and nut, is there any way to lock it? Sure a bike rack locks to the receiver but, if someone can just unbolt the whole receiver, not very secure.

While there is not a lock for your removable hitch receiver, it is incredibly specific. It is useless without the rest of the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2", part # 306-X7370. It also looks like a traditional hitch receiver, so few if any people would think to investigate this hitch receiver further. At a quick glance you cannot tell the hitch receiver is removable. If you wanted to have some more peace of mind, you can always lock the hitch bike rack to the safety chain loops on the hitch receiver via a cable. Now the hitch bike rack will be secured by a lock to the hitch receiver and the hitch receiver will be cabled to the hitch and the bike rack.
