What is the difference between these 2 hitches, says they both work for VW GTI 2019? EcoHitch 306-X7375 Stealth SH79ZR

Expert Reply:
You are correct that both the EcoHitch # 306-X7375 and Stealth Hitches # SH79ZR will both fit your 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI.
The EcoHitch # 306-X7375 is constructed using an alloy which is made of recycled materials and combines aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. This 2" receiver has a maximum tongue weight rating of 300lbs and maximum trailer capacity of 2,000lbs. The removable receiver tube bolts to the main body of the receiver that stays under your Golf.
The Stealth Hitches # SH79ZR has a steel construction with a stainless steel center block that connects the receiver. The 2" receiver is only for use with hitch mounted accessories. It is rated for 350lbs for accessories but with the Towing Kit # SH34ZR it allows for 350lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight up to 3,500lbs. This towing kit will also provide you with the wiring for a 4-way flat trailer connector. The ball mount and receiver lock in place with the included key.
Be sure to not exceed any weight capacities given by VW for your Golf. If you choose the EcoHitch you will need a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56405 for the 4-way flat connector.
