The 20.5" ball height you referenced for your Sol Dawn Rover Travel Trailer is height that the coupler sits at. This means that you would need the hitch ball on your 2017 Nissan Frontier to be sitting at 20.5" for the trailer to ride level while you tow.

Since you need a trailer hitch for your 2017 Nissan Frontier I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98869. This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your Nissan Frontier's frame with no welding or drilling required. All necessary hardware for installation is included. This hitch is protected with a matte black finish for added durability and in addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating also hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

You'll also need a wiring harness to send your braking and turn signals to the lights on your trailer. If you don't already have a factory 4-pole or 7-way connector then I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118266. This harness will quickly and easily install a 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your Nissan Frontier. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Additionally you may require an adjustable ball mount to get the correct hitch ball height to match your trailer's 20.5" hitch ball height. I've attached our guide on ball mounts which will have you take some measurements to find the correct rise/drop needed, but you could also just use an adjustable ball mount like the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10049B.

This adjustable ball mount features a 1-7/8" Ball, 2" Ball, 2-5/16" Ball to allow you to tow multiple trailers. It adjusts up for up to a 7" rise or drop to ensure that whatever you tow will be level. It also features an anti-theft design that ensures the ball mount platform can't be removed when Tow & Stow is installed in hitch.
