Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13381 is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. It has a simple no-drill, bolt-on installation that uses the factory holes in the frame of your Tiguan. It has a gloss black powder coat finish over protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance and is known to last longer than the powder coating of its competitors.

Note: The Hands-free Liftgate sensor areas may be limited to areas away from the center where hitch receiver opening is located. You'll just need to wave your foot back and forth on each side of the receiver tube to find the sweet spot for your sensors.

If you plan on towing a trailer then you'll also need a trailer wiring harness. For this I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118811. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. You will have to remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to access this harness.

Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area or mounted to the hitch with parts # 18144 and # 18140.
