I just got a 2020 Honda Passport. Need a hitch that can be used with weight distribution.

When using a weight distribution system with this hitch, the maximum tongue weight capacity is 900-lbs and the maximum towing capacity is 8000-lbs.

Hi! So the manual for the Passport has a max of 5,000 lbs towing with like 350 lbs tongue weight. I have the 5,000 lbs towing package. If I replaced my receiver with this one, would that safely upgrade the towing capacity of my Passport to 6,000 lbs with a 950 lbs hitchweight? Also, if I replace the receiver, I’ll still have the modified fascia, so will this one sag way under it or something?

If the manual for your Honda Passport lists a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, this is the limit you'll always have to adhere to. Replacing the hitch with a higher-rated unit won't change this, unfortunately. A towing setup is always limited by its weakest link, and it's extremely likely that there's another component on the Passport (rear suspension, engine, drivetrain, etc) that would still keep its capacity at 5,000 pounds.
