Question:
Originally I had planned to mount the Duncan mounts to my winch bumper I was having fabricated. It now appears the vendor will not be able to deliver the bumper. I purchased this mount for my1998 Suzuki Sidekick Sport 4 Door 4x4. I also had previously purchased a: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Duncan Base Plates - RV Mount - 2inch Hitch - 6,000 lbs ITEM # e24ZR. My question is there a crossbar that will work with both the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms and the tow bar? Thanks!

To make your etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Duncan Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000lbs # e24ZR compatible with your Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1009-1 you'll need to first unbolt both clevis from the arms of the tow bar and replace them with the Replacement Clevis End Kit for etrailer SD Tow Bar # e22VR. From there you'll then be able to use the Roadmaster Tow Bar Adapter # RM-032 to go from the direct-connect style attachment points to the crossbar-style of your base plates.
Since you have the tow bar, which also comes safety cables, and the base plate you'll just need a tow bar wiring kit and braking system to complete your flat towing setup for your 1998 Suzuki Sidekick Sport.
For the tow bar wiring kit I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154. This diode Kit allows you to use your Suzuki Sidekick's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV.
For the braking system I recommend the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494. You'll get reliable braking with this lightweight, portable system. The actuator unit applies the towed car's brakes after receiving signal via internal inertia sensor. Braking power settings let you adjust brake intensity based on your towed car's weight.
You may also require a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level while you tow your Sidekick. This does require some measuring so I've attached our help guide to walk you through the steps of determining the correct rise/drop needed.
