This setup bolts right to the frame with computer-cut, all-steel brackets that form a strong, clean connection point for your tow bar. The heavy-duty build gives you a solid fit once it’s in place, and you don’t need to weld anything. The black powder coat finish resists corrosion so it stays looking sharp after miles of use.
When you’re not towing, pull the square drawbars out with two hitch pins and the brackets practically disappear. Only the tucked-in mounts remain, hidden inside the grille where they stay protected from scrapes and scuffs. It leaves your front end looking stock without bulky hardware sticking out.
Each drawbar slides straight into the bracket tubes and locks in place with simple hitch pins—no tools required. The removable design means you can get hooked up fast and take it apart just as quickly when you’re done towing. It’s a straightforward, repeatable process that feels solid once pinned in.
Installation is simple enough for most DIYers. You’ll drill four holes in the frame rails and use the included mounting hardware to bolt the kit on tight. There’s no welding needed, and clear step-by-step guidance makes alignment easy so you can get it right on your own schedule.
This base plate is designed to pair up with Roadmaster tow bars when used with the quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00, sold separately). Once connected, it gives you a dependable link between your vehicle and your tow setup that stays secure mile after mile.

The Base plate kit is well made and came with all the necessary hardware.Installation is relatively straight forward. I did have to enlarge two of the holes that didn't quite line up. But overall I'd recommend it.
Bolted right up. Installation should be done with bumper on, as you can't fit the ends through the louvers without some convincing. Works great so far. Was able to use a Stowmaster 5000 with it.
Installation was a bit trying. Ended up looking very clean and almost invisible.
Using the tow bar worked super easy and our motorhome hardly noticed the Mini Cooper back there.
Came quickly and is very high quality. Great directions/video from road master makes the installation step by step easy to follow.
Skill level is probably at the intermediate level depending on experience.

Perfect fit. But more importantly, the outstanding customer support received even when the the issue was my problem. E trailer will be my Go to place for their products are the ones I need.
Installation and fit of the base plate was straight forward. Towed a Geo Tracker all winter with no problems. I do believe that these base plates are over priced, but limited availability is the issue.
The installation was pretty straight forward. The only problem was that the flat nuts (ones had to be inserted into the frame channel for the bottom support bolts) were too thick to pass by the cross tube which actually passes through the frame channel a fraction of an inch. The solution was to grind down the nuts to a thickness that allowed the nut to pass by. A little aggravating but it still worked okay. All in all it looks great and I like the fact that the crossbar and supports can be removed when not in use for a period of time. Also the first order I received had a design flaw on one of the supports. The bolt holes for permanent mounting did not align. The problem was promptly handled and my part return was painless. Good company.
Bought a '95 Sidekick on Craigs years ago - told it had a RV tow system on it, but never saw it...
Now retired and wanting to use the Kick as a toad, researching Roadmasters awesome document library, I quickly learned that this was the system that was installed prior to our purchase of the rig...
Bought this and it was true 'Plug n play' as all of the holes were already there...

Easy install
Arrived a day early and well packaged. Included everything needed for a clean and easy install, down to electrical connectors and zip ties. The included instructions were very clear for a variety of wiring conditions. Umbilical cord looks to be of high quality.

One year down the road and still not a single issue. 5 minute attachdetach let’s me easily separate the Tracker and drive through the RV park with no toad following.
The product itself is solid. Had to go buy a couple lock washers and lock nuts that were missing, I am having to drill into my frame to fit but it is what it is. I have more to say but their guidelines say that it's not appropriate for me to comment on that.
The #118-3 is a perfect fit on my 1995 Geo Tracker. When you pull off the removable arms you would never know they are there. The Quality is very good easy to put on all you have to do is drill 4 holes the tube on the base plate fits into the tube on the frame of the tracker and with the 2 bolts it is a solid fit. I was worried about the plate nut getting it inside of the frame but it went in easy when you put it over the frame tube and use a thin piece of metal to slide it in place. I’m very happy with it. I probably could of got it on without taking my bumper off but with only 4 bolts holding my bumper on it made it easier

Working great these are durable tow bars Have no problems with them easy to hook up and tows vehicle without no problems .
