Question:

I'm having the Curtis hitch 13453 installed on my 22 Highlander this weekend. Will I still be able to use the tailgate foot assist or is that going to be lost now?

You should still be able to use the liftgate feature on your 2022 Toyota Highlander with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C99FR (13453) installed. Instead of just swiping your foot under the bumper though you will need to kick to either side of the receiver for the sensors to pick up your foot. We actually go over this towards the start of our install video that I'm linking for you to check out.
