Recommended Hitch Receiver For 2022 Honda Pilot With 20 Spare Tire

Question:

I have a 20" spare tire. I read somewhere that I cannot get a hitch receiver if I have a spare that size. Is that true? I have a 2022 Honda Pilot.

There is a hitch receiver fit for your 2022 Honda Pilot, but you will need to visit your local Honda dealer to get a smaller spare tire. The 20" spare tire will cause a fit issue with all of our hitch receivers for your 2022 Honda Pilot.

My hitch receiver recommendation is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2", part # e98840. It has a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs and 6,000 lbs. It has a measurement of 4-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper. It measures 14-1/2" from the ground to the top innermost edge of the hitch receiver. If you plan on installing the hitch receiver yourself, you will have to lower the spare tire. But once the hitch receiver has been installed, you can raise the spare tire without any issue.
