Question:
Okay so what's the real truth on having a 20" spare tire for my 2022 Honda Pilot and trying to install a hitch? Can be it done or not? Earlier models say you can't but is that still true for a 2022?

There is a solution for having a 20" spare tire with a hitch on the 2022 Honda Pilot. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry a hitch that will be able to accommodate a 20-inch spare tire.
If you really want a full size spare onboard, I recommend purchasing an 18-inch spare tire from your local Honda dealer. With this size of tire, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver, # e98840. This is a fully welded trailer hitch that bolts to your 2022 Honda Pilot's frame, no welding required. It is a Made in USA product that is precision, robotic welded to maximize strength and improve its fit.
If you are planning to tow with your Honda Pilot and not just use for bike rack, cargo carrier, I recommend a towing starter kit like the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches, # C45534.
