Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid
Published 12/05/2021 >
Question:
I have a 08 Ford Escape Hybrid with backup sensors. All I want to do is mount a cargo carrier back there to carry my generator and extra water. What do you recommend? And what do I need if I were to install it myself?

For your 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13650. Curt manufactures their hitches in the US unlike their competitor Draw-Tite so you can rest assured that your hitch has been rigorously tested and made for quality. Curt is also known for having a longer lasting gloss black powder coat finish over protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance when compared to their competitors. This hitch simply bolts onto the frame of your vehicle for an easy peasy installation and will come with all necessary hardware included. This hitch is rated to hold up to 350lbs tongue weight for you to haul your generator and water on.
I've attached a video below where Randy will walk you through the installation of this hitch.
