Video Transcript for Mini Round LED Boat Accent Light with Cover Feature Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Recessed Mount Waterproof Green Mini LED Boat Accent Light. Now, this is a mini LED accent light that'll provide a nice bright green light for your boat. So this light is great for upgrading or replacing your area lighting, step lighting, underseat, engine compartment, and even walkway lighting. You can see it uses a clear high clarity lens, which would provide 90 degrees of lighting. It is a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, has an IP68 rating, and the lens is a clear lens over one green LED, and you noticed, it has this nice black cover here.

So when you do install this, it will shine the light 90 degrees down. Now, at the end of this video, I'm going to connect this light to some 12 volt power to show how bright the light is and the color of the light, but first, I wanna go over some of the features. Uses a premium LED, which is energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, it is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation. They do use a military grade construction of the circuit board on this light, uses urethane potting, which gives you a better protection than common epoxy potting, and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a recessed mount installation, has a surface mount flange right here.

Now, it will require a 3/4 inch diameter hole for the light to fit into, and then two screws to go into the flange here to hold it in place. Now, the distance between these mounting holes, center to center, across is 1 1/8 inches. This does hardwire to your application, if you noticed, there's two wires in this protective sheeting, a power and a ground wire, and the wire length is about seven inches. So a few dimensions on just the light. If we do the length of it, from one end all the way to the other end is one 1 3/4 inches long, the height of it, tall, 15/16 of inch, and the depth of it, front to the back is right about 15/16 of inch also.

Input voltage on this light is 9 volts to 14 volts. So what I wanna do now is go ahead and hook up our wires. And once we got those hooked up, go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power, and with the 12 volt power, you can see the green LED. Turn off the overhead lights, and you can see when it's mounted like it's supposed to be mounted, you can see how it shines the light directly down, so it's a 90 degree range of lighting, and it does light up a pretty large area. I'm gonna zoom out some, just to give you an idea from a long distance.

You can see at this light up a pretty decent area for one mini LED. Let me zoom back in. Go ahead and turn on our overhead light, and we'll go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq Recessed Mount Waterproof Green Mini LED Boat Accent Light..
