The telescopic arms on the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520 are 1 inch wide. They will extend out 16 inches and are a total of 35-1/2 inches long when fully extended.
They are very easy to extend and retract. I had no issue when handling the unit, you just push a button and it will release for you to collapse it.
