Will the spare tire come down with this hitch

Yes, the spare tire will get lowered - but only temporarily - when you are installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15302.
After you complete the install and torque the bolts down of the Curt Hitch # C15302, you will then raise and reinstall the spare tire so it will ultimately stay put.
