Location of Curt Hitch C15302 on a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed and 7-Way Mounting Bracket

Question:
2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed How close to factory height will this particular hitch be? I have multiple setups for an RV and a Boat and would like to stay as close to factory height as possible, to avoid replacing all of my existing equipment. Also, how would I mount my existing plug? I need to plug my 7 way RV wiring and I currently use an adapter for the 5 way boat plug. Thank you

With Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15302 installed on a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed the hitch will be in the same position as a factory hitch or at least within a fraction of an inch. By that I mean the receiver will be right under the rear bumper.
To mount your 7-Way connector I like mounting box # 18159 for a clean look. I have linked a video of it for you. I have included a link to all of the 7-Way mounting devices we have.
