Features to know about

Tow Heavy and Carry More at the Same Time: Dual 2" Receivers

The SuperHitch Original gives you two vertically stacked 2" x 2" receivers so you can tow a trailer and use a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. It’s rated for 17,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 1,700 lbs tongue weight, or up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs TW when used with weight distribution. You don’t have to choose between hauling your trailer and bringing extra gear — you can do both with one hitch.

Truck towing setup showing TorkLift SuperTruss hitch extension connected to SuperHitch dual receivers behind a truck bed camper.

Keep Towing Power Even with Extensions: Built for Heavy-Duty Capacity

Typical hitch extenders cut your towing capacity way down. The SuperHitch works with TorkLift’s SuperTruss extensions to clear a truck bed camper while still maintaining one of the highest weight limits in the industry. When paired with the right weight distribution setup, it can handle up to a 10,000-lb limit even with a 60" extension. That means you keep your camper on the truck and still tow confidently without losing hauling strength.

Built to Last Under Load: Reinforced Steel Construction

This Class V hitch is made from sturdy steel with high-penetration, dual-shield welding for strength and durability. The hardened, reinforced pin holes resist wear, and the black powder coat finish helps protect against corrosion. Safety chain loops are built in, and it includes two hitch pins and clips. Every part of it is built for serious towing performance that holds up over time.

Straightforward Install: Bolt-On, No Welding Required

The SuperHitch bolts on using the existing mounting points, with no welding needed. It’s pre-drilled for TorkLift camper tie-downs if you want to add them later. You can get it mounted up in your own driveway using basic tools — no need for special equipment or fabrication work to get a rock-solid setup ready to haul.

If I had to buy this exact set up again, I wouldn't. My factory size tire on my 2005 GMC sierra 2500 HD 4x4 crew cab is 245/75/16... I've upgraded to a 285/75/16 along with matching spare and this spare fits under the truck in the factory spot with my existing Curt XD hitch. It wont fit with this Torklift super hitch. Not even close. I might be able to squeeze a 265 in there now(maybe). Another thing that wont fit well is My $xxx Bullet proof 22K hitch or my $xxx Curt 20K hitch..They only work in the shallow hole in the neck..I cant push it deeper to the 2nd hole in the neck because super hitch puts a solid plate behind the receiver tube. So, you cant slide your hitch in deep enough to put the pin in the 2nd hole.. So there's that. Also, the 7 lines on instructions to install this hitch are horrible(line 5 to be exact). Not even 1 exploded diagram on the steel plate washers to bolts to lock washer to flat washer to nut or whatever..just figure it out and bolt it on. It also hangs low and doesn't snug up to the bottom of the bumper..big ol ugly gap now..So, What's good about it..? Alot actually. The Install is super easy once you figure it all out(time consuming). The packaging is superb, I thought the parts would be blown all over the delivery truck, warehouse and missing parts galore..there were just a few holes in the boxes but it all made it here..every part! This super hitch and true frame mounted camper tie downs are built to the hilt..I mean they're pretty Darn stout. The camper ties down front and rear leave no doubt my truck camper is going to be secure. I give them that. If I had to do it again? I'd buy the front C2205-C2205 tie downs and the rear after market hitch set up and drill or weld on brackets myself. I thought I'd buy my way out of this with an entire bolt on system so I don't have to fab weld or whatever but that bit me in the you know what..If your running a completely bone stock/plain jane/papa truck then get the whole set up. If you have a 4" or 5" exhaust on your diesel and slightly oversized tires, piece it together and save yourself the headache I'm dealing with..IE: possible new tires..cutting down my hitches, modding my exhaust( it did say I may have to do that) etc. I can add photos later if I can go back an edit this review. This hitch can be improved, snug up to the bumper, move the hitch further out to allow for a bigger spare, remove plate behind receiver tubes to allow for modern hitches with adjustable pin holes to slide in deeper. Maybe better diagrams for install? [online] video of the hitch install for this model truck? IDK. Just a suggestion.

Great customer service!

Installed it today , everything was included pretty straight forward.Packaging was good, all parts were accounted for.Everything fit.

by:

Excellent products, superior customer service from Wayne and everyone at etrailer.

I would have given your product the Excellent, but I felt that I needed more of the steel stock parts that are a couple inches long with the hole in the middle. I have it installed as so with the 32 inch reach that I purchased from you earlier. I think that I am going to like it very much. Now I have peace of mind when I have my Lance camper on with my Classic Car in the 20 foot inclosed trailer. I will be testing it after March 2015 when I take all back to Tenn. I like your quick response to responding to my emails. It is kinda late and dark out right now, but I will take pictures and send another response tomorrow.

Fast shipping. Best price we found for this product. Easy installation on 2005 chevy 2500. Only problem we had is oversized spare tire would not fit after installation (tire was a 285/75/16).

by:

the trailer safety chain hooks are too small. they are hard to get the safety chains hooked up on bigger trailers. I had to install clevis hooks.

Excellent quality and great service!

Purchased the superhitch to install on chevy 2500 hd Duramax truck so I could pull double axle trailer with utv and camping gear while my 8' popup camper was on my short bed truck. Installation went well as I did it myself using the one person instructions. Instructions could have a few more pictures to make it easier for non mechanical people.. I will be pulling with torklift 21" extension truss.. All parts were included and in very good shape. Thanks to etrailer for the quick shipping and also we answering a couple question prior to purchase in a timely mannor.

Very happy with the Torklift TLC1204. Fit my 2007, Silverado CLASSIC, 2500HD, Extended Cab, SHORT BED perfectly. Easy bolt on installation, no drilling required.

Each of the two receivers offers a snugger fit than the stock hitch - no more rattling, particularly with a supertruss extension which is rock solid.

Etrailer.com order and delivery was seamless and the hitch was delivered on time to Central CA residence in approximately 5 working days. THANK YOU!

Awesome, great product. I have a 04 Chevy 2500 HD. With my camper on I put my Jeep on a 7000 pound car hauler trailer attached to the Torklift thru a Supertruss extension. The whole package works great. Installation was very easy with basic tools and a floor jack, no drilling required. Very nice product

Worked better than expected. I have a 2004 GMC 2500HD shortbed with a 2018 Northern Lite 8.11 EX slide in truck camper. The camper extends 4' past the rear bumper. I pull a two 12' trailer behind the truck. the super hitch with the 48" extension works perfect.

Solid hitch easy install by one person if you can handle the weight of the item. Use it on my 2006 2500 silverado with a Lance 815 towing a 26’ enclosed trailer with my sand car a quad and two dirtbikes.

  • TorkLift Tie-Down Fitment for a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 with OEM Hitch
Hey Jake, thanks for reaching out! You'll actually want to keep the OEM hitch on your 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 to install some TorkLift tie-downs as there aren't any TorkLift tie-downs that fit with the SuperHitch Original # TLC1204. For your OEM hitch you can use the Standard # TL86FV or Aluminum # TL97VV. Are you needing the dual receiver from the SuperHitch Original for accessories behind your truck?

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch With Extension For 2003 Chevrolet Silverado With Camper
The only way you can get the extension you need for a trailer hitch is by replacing your trailer hitch with the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch, part # TLC1205. This is a Class V hitch and it has dual 2-inch receiver openings. You can then use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension, part # TLE1548. This extension has dual shanks that fit in the dual receivers. Since your truck comes with a 7-way you can easily replace it with part # 30955. This will give you a working 7-way...

  • Torklift SuperHitch that Fits 2003 Chevy Silverado with 21 inch Hitch Extender
The Torklift SuperHitch part # TLC1204 is the correct fit for your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed. And then the correct 21 inch Torklift hitch extender is the part # TLE1521 and you'd be set! As long as you are under the weight capacities of the truck and towing components you'd have no negative affects while towing.

  • Recommended Hitch Extender for a 3 Inch Hitch Receiver
You don't need to change out your hitch. Since your 2020 Ford F-350 has the 3" receiver you can use the 36" TorkLift Cannon Hitch Extension item # TLE1636. This extension was designed specifically for the 3" receivers that come on the newer Ford trucks. I recommend using the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension for 36" item # TLW6036. It's an extension cord for your 7-way connector. It makes hooking up to your trailer easier.

  • Longest Available 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Extender
The longest trailer hitch extender we offer is the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension part # TLE1560 which measures 60". However, the SuperTruss will require you to use a SuperHitch like part # TLC1204. The longest trailer hitch extender we offer for a 2" trailer hitch that does not require the SuperHitch is indeed 18" like part # C45796. Please note that a hitch extender minus the SuperTruss will reduce your tongue weight capacity by 50%. I have attached a list of all the 2" trailer...

  • Recommended Hitch Extender to Clear Truck Camper on 2016 Ram 2500
The dual tube TorkLift extenders that you mentioned do offer a longer extension but they are designed specifically for dual receiver trailer hitches from TorkLift like # TLC1204. Unfortunately there is not one currently available for your 2016 Ram 2500 so your only option will be with a standard single tube extender. The longest standard extender we have available is an 18 inch long unit like the Curt # C45796. This inserts into a 2 inch receiver like what you already have on your truck...

  • TorkLift SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD with 6-1/2' Bed
The TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLC1204 is currently the only receiver available from TorkLift for your 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD with the 6-1/2' bed. I spoke with a rep at TorkLift and they explained that the Magnum receiver C1204-30 you are looking for was discontinued in 2016. The reason for this was the receiver is rated for more than your Truck can handle and everyone was getting the Receiver # TLC1204 as it was more price conscious. The TorkLift SuperHitch...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System or Extended Ball Mount for Clearing a Tail Gate
Yeah, there are no TorkLift SuperHitches available for a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or any Jeep. Those are the heaviest duty bumper pull hitches and are reserved for large trucks with the highest towing capacities. You'll want to look into a weight distribution system with an extended shank if your Gladiator's hitch is rated for one. If you have a hitch that mounts underneath your frame like the Curt item # C74DR you can use a weight distribution system. For a 550 lbs tongue weight, I recommend...

Yes, the Torklift Class V hitch part # TLC1205 would be a great option for your 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD long bed. If you instead had a short bed truck you would want the part # TLC1204. The 17k capacity is more than what your truck is rated for so it would be more than adequate.

I recommend the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # TLC1205 for your Silverado if you have an 8-ft bed on your truck. As far as the extension you will need to measure the distance from the hitch pin hole to the end of the camper to see what length extension you will need. • Can I Use a SuperHitch with SuperTruss 36" Extension to Tow a Trailer and Carry a Sled Deck?
Hi Mike, Based off the set up you're describing it will be able to handle the weight of the trailer and the sleds, but it'll be close! With the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension part # TLE1536 being 36" long it reduces the tongue weight of the SuperHitch part # TLC1204 down to only 650lbs. If the tongue weight is off because of cargo being shifted or if you needed to carry anything extra it would exceed the tongue weight of the hitch. This set up will still work but I'd suggest getting...

But if you have a 2-1/2 inch receiver the tongue weight capacity is not reduced but usually the capacity of he extension is lower than the hitch so you would go by the lower rating.
