We do indeed have the wiring harness and a trailer brake controller for your 2022 Subaru Outback. What you will need are a 4-way that will activate your trailer's lighting, and a 7-way to activate the trailer's brakes, which are the following parts:
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
The 4-way will plug into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, and the combination of the two are what will give you a working trailer wiring harness which activates not only your trailer brakes but also your trailer lights so you can safely tow.
As for the brake controller itself, the one I highly recommend for your '22 Outback is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
The reason I like the P3 # 90195 so much is it gives you the most consistently smooth braking, has a bright LCD screen that is very easy to read, and has continual diagnostic checks with safeguards to prevent battery drain or shorts. What it does so well is combine a high level of performance with reliability and ease of use. It is a favorite of our customers, having been reviewed thousands of times while garnering a nearly perfect 5-star rating.
