Comparison of Curt 13370 and Draw-Tite 76170 Trailer Hitch for 2022 Honda Odyssey
Published 10/19/2021 >
Question:
I want to put a hitch on my 2022 Honda Odyssey for my cargo carrier. I was looking at the Drawtite item #76170 and the Curt item #C13370. Which of these do you think would be better? Etrailer is always so helpful, thanks in advance.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13370 and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch receiver # 76170 are both good choices for your 2022 Honda Odyssey. They are both Class III hitches with a tongue weight capacity of 525 lbs, which will be the maximum they can hold with your cargo carrier. There are, however, a few differences.
The main advantage I see to the Curt is the ease of installation. The installation process for the Draw-Tite hitch will take far more time since it is more difficult. This may matter to you if you plan to install the hitch yourself. I also think it is important to remember that this only has to be done once.
The other major difference between the two is in the cross tube. The Curt has a visible cross tube so you will see it hanging down while the Draw-Tite has a concealed cross tube. It is for this reason that I would recommend the Draw-Tite over the Curt. The Draw-Tite will have that factory look along with additional clearance since the only thing hanging down will be the receiver tube.
If you have lights on your cargo carrier I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite HD Module # 118781. This plugs into existing wiring and will provide you with a 4-way connector at the back of your Odyssey to power your lights.
I have attached some installation videos as well as the written instructions for the hitches that you can check out. I also attached an installation video for the wiring harness for your reference.
