Question:
I am looking at purchasing this hitch for my 2008 Forester Sports X 2.5 non-turbo and have been trying to find everything that is included. I just want to make sure that when the box arrives that I am short something and shouldve ordered it along with the hitch itself. I do not see a whats in the box, or this is whats included on the website. Perhaps, I overlooked it but like I mentioned previously, I just want to make sure Im not missing anything, ie, wiring. Thank You for your time.

For Curt trailer hitch # C12038 you will get the trailer hitch itself and the hardware needed to install it. The other parts you need depend on what you're going to use the htich for.
If you're going to be carrying a cargo carrier or bike rack you also need a support strap # 18050 per Curt's warranty.
If you plan on towing a trailer you need to add ball mount # C45503 along with the properly sized ball and the wiring. Those items are not included with the hitch. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring you can use Tow Ready harness # 118461. Finally the pin and clip is # F-4.
I have included links to videos showing typical installations for the hitch and the wiring.
