Can Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack be Safely Used on F-150 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Hello, I need to carry 10 foot ladders as well as up to 12 foot long items that can be up to a few hundred pounds. I have a 2019 F150 Super Crew with a 5.5 bed. My old work truck died, and the only thing I could purchase was the super crew...not ideal. But rolling with the punches. anywho... Will the # 3371501410 work well with a 5.5 bed? I like the extra length along with support up front, but worry about the 67 inch or so in front of the front upright support. any advice is very appreciated

Great question!
I definitely see what your concerns are here, but one of the great things about the Buyers Products Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 3371501400 is that it's a pretty universal fit, so there are some adjustments we can make that allow this to fit short 5-1/2 foot beds up to 8 foot beds. If you check out the attached photo you can see that we have that top section hanging past the rear bumper a little on the 2017 F-150 so that the front bar isn't extended out really far. You will be able to do this same exact thing for your 2019 F-150.
I had the chance to install this on a 2020 F-250 and the installation process is pretty easy, but it does take a while. The best piece of advice I can give is to make sure that you measure some points on your bed sides for the location of the legs, and be sure that those will line up with the mounting locations for the raised side rails. If you measure one without the other you will end up having to remove and reinstall hardware which can be annoying...ask me how I know.
