Since your 2014 Chevy Traverse has a hitch but no wiring it sounds like someone installed a hitch so they could use a bike rack or cargo carrier. The wiring that I recommend is the T-One # 118270 because we have found the Tekonsha wiring to be the most reliable. This says it's for the tow package but it can actually be used if you don't have the tow package either. The fuses and relays that come with this kit are used to activate the tow package.
Attached are the installation instructions and a video where we installed this on a 2014 Traverse that you can check out. The attached photo shows the plug you need to connect to at the rear passenger side of your vehicle near the corner of the bumper.
I'm not sure what hitch you have but you can use part # 18144 to mount your wiring near your hitch receiver if you have a welded tab on the crosstube. If you don't have that welded tab then you'll also need the no-drill mount bracket # C57202.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Starter Kit # C45534. The 2" drop on the ball mount should work for most trailers you will tow with your Traverse. I had a 2010 Equinox and the 2" drop was exactly what I needed for any of the trailers that I pulled.
