Features to know about

Add Real Utility to Your Ride: Tow, Haul, or Carry with a Class III 2" Hitch

This Class III 2" trailer hitch receiver lets you make the most of your vehicle. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight limit of 500 lbs (or 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW when used with a weight distribution setup), it’s ready for small campers, boats, or cargo carriers. The sturdy square-tube design gives you a solid connection for towing or for mounting bike racks and cargo trays.

Skip the Welding and Complicated Installs: Bolt-On Design Fits Right the First Time

This hitch bolts directly to the frame—no welding required. The precision robotic welding ensures strong joints and a consistent fit, so everything lines up with existing mounting points. It comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions, making it straightforward to handle in your own driveway with basic tools.

Keep It Looking Good: Matte Black Powder Coat Hides Scratches and Rust

Built from fully welded steel and finished in a matte black powder coat over a protective base layer, this hitch resists rust and corrosion while keeping its rugged look. The matte finish also hides dirt, dings, and scuffs better than glossy coatings, so it stays looking sharp even after years of towing or hauling gear.

Comparison of matte carbide powder coat versus glossy black finish on trailer hitch metal surfaces, showing the textured durability and rugged look of the etrailer matte black finish.

Close-up comparison of etrailer trailer hitch finishes showing matte carbide black powder coat next to glossy finish, emphasizing rugged texture and corrosion resistance.

Confidence for the Long Haul: Built Strong and Backed by Lifetime Technical Support

Every etrailer hitch is designed for reliable use over time. The durable construction gives peace of mind whether you’re towing a trailer or loading up bikes for the weekend. It’s covered by a limited lifetime warranty and includes ongoing technical support from towing experts who use the same gear every day.

Hitch went on really easy. They sent the wires that you could pull the bolt through the frame. Those are amazing. Hitch just looks good

I order this on 3/24 and received it on 3/26 super fast delivery which was awesome! I watched the Installation video which made this a very simple job for myself it only took about 25 minutes to install. This is on a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse and everything looks great!

by:

Very pleased with the trailer hitch we ordered from etrailer, It was very easy to install on our 2009 Saturn Outlook. Looks great

by:

Delivered on the date it was promised, and installed the following day. I have used etrailer.com in the past and will again in the future. The Installation video was critical to being able to get this installed properly. I love that etrailer.com has all the parts you need, and they show you how to install them!

by:

I ordered the car hitch for my Buick Enclave and it was delivered sooner than I expected. It is a well built hitch and it took me and a friend to install it in just a few minutes. It fit like a hand in a glove, very well aligned. I recommend etrailer for you hitch and trailer needs. A 5 star company.

by:

Easy to install, video and written instructions were superb. Only thing I needed to do was retap out my car frame threads for the metric bolts. All fit perfectly. 5 stars to them again, this is my 2nd hitch I've installed from them

by:

I have a 2008 Saturn Outlook I got the hitch in the mail today. Installed the hitch in less than an hour. When installing the hitch use jack stands to hold up the hitch and the exhaust. And when taking out the exhaust hangers use a lubricating oil, like what it said in the video. If in the future i were to buy another vehicle and it didn't have a hitch i would buy it from etrailer.

by:

Great product!! Installed just like video said and took about 20 minutes. Everything was included I didn't have to purchase anything extra. I would recommend this produce to anyone needing a great trailer hitch.

by:

Absolutely love the way this hitch finish looked on my GMC Acadia very easy to instal my husband installed it in about 15 minutes and no need to move the muffler either . We plan on using it for our daughter travel ball equipment to put in our little cargo trailer .

by:

Everything worked well and only took me about 45 minutes to install not counting watching the video which I did before purchasing. Very solid steel frame. I am primarily using it for bike rack and small trailers. The wire that comes in the kit to pull the carriage bolt and washer through the tube was awesome. I did have to jiggle it a little bit at first to get it to slide through.

by:

Install was very easy even by myself. Definitely had to remove 3 of the exhaust hangers and drop the muffle down onto a jack stand to get access to the bolts on the passenger side but that was not difficult. The fish wires for the center bolts worked great. Only trouble I had was cleaning out the holes on the drivers side. It took a lot of WD40 and an old brush to clean the holes out until I could get hit wbolts to thread all the way in. My wife is very excited to get the bike carrier installed and loaded up. Would definitely recommend this to others.

by:

MADE in the USA is the best part and the install video was great !! THANK YOU !! You made everything easy and great !!

Quick shipping!

by:

The eTrailer hitch went in like a charm, a quality product at a great price and the support from etrailer is awesome. As a novice, it took a bit longer to install than expected and the plastic cover plate could not be reinstalled to hide the hitch, no worries. The entire experience from purchase to finished install was awesome.

by:

I ordered this hitch receiver for my 2013 Buick Enclave to be mostly used for carrying multiple mountain bikes. The hitch arrived a few days earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Very fast shipping. I got to installing it right away; the fit was perfect and the installation was...tricky.

I backed my vehicle up onto ramps which gave me plenty of room to work underneath. I removed the rear fascia covering. I sprayed the rubber supports which hold the exhaust in order to lower the dual exhaust pipes. With a bit of "back and forth" on the four supports I was able to release the supports and lower each pipe.

I first installed the two center bolts which went in with no problems. My vehicle does not have existing threaded bolts for the center attachments, so I used the "hook and pull" method as shown in the video to guide the bolts and the locking rectangular supports through the bumper to the existing holes. This was relatively effortless, but it would have helped if the wire guides supplied with the hitch were 12 inches longer. Placing the hitch in its proper position with the help of my daughter, I initially secured the hitch with the center bolts to then attach the four side bolts. Previously, I ordered the suggested nylon brush to clean out the existing threads under my car. I cleaned the threads out as directed in the video but, as it turned out, the cleaning needed to be much more extensive than I realized. After struggling to hand ratchet in the bolts I gave up and left the hitch bolted with only the two center bolts. I watched the video again and I noticed the installer in the video used a battery powered ratchet. Ah hah! To the hardware store I went to buy my own lithium ratchet. I figured it would come in handy to own this tool.

With my brand new ratchet charged and ready I went back to the task at hand. I liberally sprayed WD-40 in the holes and aggressively used the nylon brush on all four threaded holes under the vehicle. Then I eagerly attempted to use the power of the ratchet to finish the job. Well, shoot...the ratchet is too long. I then lowered the spare tire to get to the bolts and use my lithium ratchet. Well, even with my ratchet that has rated torque of 35ft-lbs, it couldn't get past the accumulated filth mucking up the threads, it would stall without cinching the bolts tightly against the washers. So, I then just used the lithium ratchet to pull the bolt "back and forth" (or up and down) which in theory would loosen the compressed and hardened thread blockage, and the bolts should go all the way in snug against the hitch. That worked! Whew. Finally. I then snugged and torqued all six bolts appropriately, buttoned up the exhausts, re-installed the fascia and it looks wonderful. Now I'm ready to go mountain biking again. Yay! Thanks etrailer!

by:

This is the 3rd hitch I have bought from Etrailer. They are great hitch's and you get all the parts to bolt it into the vehicle. They also have all the other parts, {wiring harness, brackets to hang the light plug}. Best price I have ever found, and fast shipping. Will but from etrailer again when I need another hitch, or other parts.

Super fast shipping! Very easy to install. Took less than 30 minutes.

Submitted the update. Great product, thanks for the followup. I ended up getting a second hitch to go on my wife's SUV so I could move the bike rack over to use on family trips.

Working perfectly! My wife was worried that she would have some big ugly hitch on her vehicle, but its completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. Just pop off the access panel when I need the hitch, but otherwise it disappears.

Video instructions on website was extremely helpful

I FOUND THE ETRAILER TRAILER HITCH TO BE AN EXCELLANT PRODUCT. THE INSTALLATION WENT WELL. THEY PRODUCED A HELPFUL VIDEO AS WELL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ETRAILER!

I am extremely satisfied with the hitch, I use it for my bike carrier. I am sure that it would be just as easy to install a ball mount to use it for a trailer. Another plus is it fits behind my 2017 Traverse facia plate so its not visible.

by:

Very easy to install. I took it to my local repair shop and they installed it in 39 minutes.
I have a 2012 Buick Enclave and unfortunately the cover would not fit back on the bumper. Not a big deal because I plan on using the receiver a lot and removing the bumper cover will be one less step to put my bike rack on my car.

Etrailer does it again! Always timely delivery, always a great fit, and always ways to make putting the hitch on easy. Thanks for the wires to pull the carriage bolts through the frame and the nice instructions (including video for my vehicle type). When I need some hitch parts this is the place. The Hitch is exactly what etrailer stated in the description...Fit my car perfectly...the installation was straight-forward (although a bit harder doing it by myself-they did recommend having a second person to assist) but I managed ok...very happy with the finished product...the unit is extremely sturdy and will easily handle the load of four bikes...

@Corey really appreciate you coming back with the one year update. That’s awesome to hear it’s still holding up strong and doing exactly what you need. Sounds like it’s been a solid setup for hauling your bikes without any worries. Glad to hear it’s still feeling sturdy and versatile after all that time. What bike rack are you using?

by:

Fantastic from start to finish, super helpful when selecting hitch, hitch arrived like it was packed by a packaging engineer, sturdy box and hitch well secured inside, not a scratch on it. Hardware was excellent, had everything required, installed it in 20 minutes!
I’m an etrailer customer from now on.

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver, 7-Way Wiring and Brake Controller Recommendations For a 2017 Buick Enclave
Yes, you are able to install a trailer brake controller on your 2017 Buick Enclave that did not come with the factory tow package. First you will need a Receiver # e98863 to add to your Enclave. Next we have the 7-Way # 118271 which will allow you to plug into the factory harness and includes the fuses and relays you need to activate the harness. This will attach to the receiver using the Mounting Brackets # C57202 and # 18138 so you will not have to drill into your vehicle fascia. I...

Hi Bobby! The Curt hitch # C12086 is actually designed to fit the Hyundai Genesis sedan from 2009 to 2016, so not a very good option for your 2010 Chevy Traverse, unfortunately. The etrailer Class 3 hitch # e98863 on the other hand, is specifically for your Traverse and is a pretty easy install. It is also matte black instead of gloss black so it blends in significantly better. What are you planning on using the hitch for?

If I were to recommend a hitch for your 2017 Chevy Traverse it actually wouldn't be either of these. Instead, I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863.
