With your 2005 Chevy Z71 being a 4x4, you are indeed able to flat tow behind your motorhome. I have a list below of all the parts you will need to complete a set up to do so as well.
- Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-522
- Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 199-5
- Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables - 8,000 lbs # RM-645
- Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
- Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700
I prefer permanently installed braking systems, like the # RM-8700 above, but if you were looking for a portable/removable style one, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR will also be a very good system. This will require the use of the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 as well.
