  • Hitch Pin Attachment
  • Partially Hidden

The crossbar-style hidden brackets attach to your vehicle's frame to provide attachment points for your tow bar. The visible portions of the brackets can be removed when you are not towing.

Features:

  • Hidden bracket design - drawbars are easily removable via 2 pins
    • Improved aesthetics compared with standard brackets
  • Computer-cut, all-steel construction provides exceptional strength
  • Black powder coat finish is durable and corrosion resistant
  • Simple installation - no welding required
    • Custom base plates ensure a perfect fit for your vehicle
  • Compatible with Roadmaster tow bars with use of quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00 - sold separately)
  • Instructions and mounting hardware included
  • Made in the USA
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The square drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style base plate kit are simple to mount and remove, easily securing with hitch pins. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs as well.

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500
First you would need to start with a base plate kit for your 2005 GMC Sierra 1500. If you have a Z71 model you would want the part # 199-5, if you have an HD model you would want the part # 3115-1, or if you have neither an HD or a Z71 you would want the part # 199-10. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the RoadMaster Sterling All Terrain...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2003 Chevy Silverado Behind an RV
Custom fit base plates should not be welded to your 2003 Chevy Silverado. They are not designed to be welded and doing so could compromise the structural integrity of the base plates. Base plates # 3154-1 are not a fit for your truck but we have other options that are. If your truck is a 1500HD, 2500, or 3500 you can use # 3115-1. If it is a 1500 but not a Z71 or HD then use # 199-10 and the front suspension must have coil springs. And if it is a Z71 with torsion bar front suspension use...

  • How Do I Determine If I have Torsion Springs or Coil Springs on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe
If your truck has four wheel drive it should have torsion bar suspension as this is the preferred suspension for off-roaders because it allows for ride height adjustment. If you have a 2-wheel-drive Tahoe then you should have a coil spring suspension setup since most 2-wheel drive vehicles have coil springs. An easy way to tell if you are still not sure would be to look at the front suspension. If there is what looks like a spring behind the front wheel then you have coil springs. Basically,...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2003 GMC Sierra with a Roadmaster Falcon 5250 Tow Bar
The first thing you are going to want to do is consult the truck owners manual for specific information on flat towing it. There are different configurations of the 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 and would require different base plates. If you have a Z71 model and the front suspension uses a torsion bar use # 199-6 or # 199-5. If you have an HD model (torsion or coil springs) use # 3115-1 or # 3115-3. If you do not have a Z71 or HD and have coil springs in the front use # 199-10 or # 199-11. Any...

  • Roadmaster Base Plates for 2003 GMC Sierra Compatible with Falcon 2 Tow Bar RM-520
It sounds like you are looking for base plates for your 2003 GMC Sierra to go along with your Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520. I suggest the Roadmaster XL base plates # 3115-1 which fit on the 1500HD, 2500 and 3500 series 2003 Sierra trucks. If you have a 1500 LD the base plate you'd need is the part # 199-10. These will work directly with the Falcon 2 tow bar without any sort of adapters. Safe and legal vehicle towing also requires additional components that are outlined in the linked...

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Safety Cables, Lighting, and Braking to Flat tow a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 4x4
We do have base plates that will fit a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 as long as the front suspension uses torsion bars. You will need # 199-5. These are XL style base plates so you will need a tow bar that is compatible with XL plates. I recommend the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. It is one of our best-selling tow bars for XL style base plates. I have included a link to the installation details and a video review for you to view. There are 3 additional parts needed for flat towing a...

  • Lunette Ring Tow Bar Recommendation for Flat Towing 2004 Chevy Silverado
For a tow bar we have the Roadmaster Stowmaster part # RM-583 which has a 6k capacity and uses a 3 inch Lunette ring. So then for a base plate kit you'd want the part # 3115-1 for if you have a 1500HD, 2500HD, or 3500HD. If you have a 1500LD Z71 you'd want the part # 199-5 or part # 199-10 for if you have a 1500LD that's not a Z71. For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring...

  • Roadmaster Base Plate Kit Recommendation For 2003 GMC Sierra with Falcon 2 Tow Bar
Sounds like you are looking for a base plate kit for your 2003 GMC Sierra for use with your Facon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520. If you have a 1500 LD the base plate you'd need is the part # 199-10. Or if you have a 1500HD, 2500HD, or 3500HD the correct kit you'd need is the part # 3115-1.
