Sears X-Cargo Roof Carrier Latch and Lock Fit

Question:
Hi, I bought an old Sears x-cargo roof carrier . Its in great shape ... but the way the locking hardware seems whacky .. the lock tongues cant reach the hasps : plz see photo attached Do you have any insight or suggestions on whats going on or how to resolve ? Thanks !

The top portion of your latch should be on the outside of your shell and not the inside. It looks like the parts were likely dismantled for cleaning or painting and were reinstalled incorrectly.
We do offer some great BOLT Covered Padlocks like the # BL7023537 (GM Center Cut Key) which will key to your specific vehicle key. This will make it easier to always have the correct key and not having to worry about losing your other keys.
