Replacement Lock for a Sears X-Cargo Cargo Carrier

Question:
I have a Sears X-cargo Sport 20 that I recently bought used. The lock was in bad shape and without a key, but I was able to get one of those online 2982. The key worked but then completely jammed once locked. I drilled out the cylinder, but to my dismay it didnt look like the replacement cylinders I have been seeing online. Can you tell me what cylinder I would need as well as the master key? Thank you.

We have had this question come up before. To replace the lock on your Sears X-Cargo Sport 20 cargo carrier you can use the Replacement Lock Core and Key # SR03807. This will work if the locks look the same.
There is a lock nut on the back of the lock assembly that will need to be removed and then you would be able to remove the lock from the mounting hole.
