Question:
Hi, I just bought a 179SE the previous owner said the trailer take a 2 5/16 ball size. This trailer is gross weight GVWR 4520 lbs. Cargo 1160 lbs. So dry 3360 lbs. So, a little confused though 2inch ball but used the 2 5/16inch ball. Worked fine. I want to buy a weight distribution sway system and give my vehicle information and see I need a blue ox bla bla 600 lbs tongue weight 10k lbs max. Great, but it comes with a 2inch ball. Can that be switched to a 2 5/16inch ball? Or can I buy a pre made one that comes with a larger ball?

The Blue Ox Weight Distribution system part # BLU36FR is a great option for a weight distribution system for your 179SE based on the weights you mentioned. But to use a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball you'd have to swap out what comes with it and go with the part # C40008 which will fit in place and is the size you want.
For this tongue weight range of weight distribution they are not available with the larger ball size as a kit.
