Question:
Hello, I was reading your QandA section and come across two Firestone kits that may fit my truck. What is the difference between kits F2400 and F2398? I have a 2006 Ford F250, 4x4, stock height, regular bed. I am planning to install a 5th wheel hitch at a later time. Which kit do you recommend? Thank you!

I would be happy to help!
Both the Firestone Air Helper Spring Kit # F2400 and # F2398 you were looking at will work with a 5th wheel hitch but since your 2006 Ford F-250 is a 4WD model you will need to go with the # F2400 as it is designed for trucks that are 4WD where the # F2398 is designed for 2WD trucks.
This kit gives you up to 5000lbs of load leveling support which you can fine tune to your specific need by adjusting the air pressure between 5-100 PSI.
To keep from having to manually inflate the air helper springs when you are ready to tow or carry a heavy payload I recommend adding an on-board air compressor kit. I like the Air Command # F2610 due to it controlling the air pressure via an app on your smartphone instead of mounting an analog gauge like other systems.
I included a video of the # F2400 being installed on a 2006 Ford F-250 for you to take a look at.
