Will the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier w/ Ramp Fit My 2021 Subaru Ascent with a Factory Hitch?

Question:

Will the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier w/ 48inch Long Ramp - 2inch Hitches - Folding - Steel - 500 lbs Item # MT70106 work with a 2021 Subaru Ascent with a factory receiver? I used the Subaru factory hitch ball mount and was just barely able to secure a Rhino USA Hitch Tightener Anti-Rattle Clamp to it. I am concerned that I may not be able to install the anti-rattle device that comes with this carrier due to the very close clearances. Also, do you offer military discounts and, if this part does fit and I place an order, can I still take advantage of your free shipping promotion? Thanks!

If your factory hitch on your 2021 Subaru Ascent sits flush to the bumper like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C25VR, you will have no problem with attaching the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier w/ 48" Long Ramp - 2" Hitches. The closest part of the MaxxTow carrier is 4-3/4 inches from the center of the shank pinhole to the platform (while in the folded position). In order to know for sure if it will clear your bumper, I recommend measuring the center of your hitch's pinhole to the end of the bumper. If it is less than 4-3/4 inches, it will fit.

With that being said, if you do have a clearance problem, I recommend the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long # C45791. The hitch extender will add 8 additional inches to your hitch receiver. It must be noted that using any kind of hitch adapter will decrease the weight capacity of your hitch by 50%.
