Tip for Installing Replacement Jet Nozzle for SewerSolution Macerator System

Updated 05/13/2025 | Published 07/22/2021

Question:

I had the sewer pump cracked after just 2 uses, stored in RV so was think heat might have gotten to it. Ordered a new pump but how the heck do I get it inserted into the hose, I have tried leaving it in sun to soften the hose, tried hair dryer. How can I get it inserted?

Make sure the band clamp of the # SS01 is totally loosened and slid back off of where it would need to slip over the nozzle of the # 278-2204. You can put some dish soap on the nozzle as well to help it slide into the hose which is a tight fit. Try that and see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice about dish soap. Last one I installed the metal "pipe" came unglued when I was installing the replacement jet nozzle onto the hose. Would it help if I used a tubing heater to soften th hose a bit. Once that inlet pipe comes loose it leaks. p.s. got my replacement from e-trailer!

@Jeffrey Glad to help! Yeah I would think the heater would help a bit so you might try that.

@JamesonC Yes, the tube heater gun did the trick. That hose is so tight (great once it's on!) even soap alone won't do it without breaking. As always, you all do a great job with customer assistance.
