Question:

I have a vent fan in bathroom of trailer and when you turn it off, the lid closes and when handle stops spinning it continues to run and sounds like it is stripping gears until I turn switch off and hit off on wall control. How to I fix. This is in a 2014 Lakota horse trailer with living quarters.

I spoke with the manufacturer and based on your issue the gears are most likely stripped out and can't sense that its reached the end so you'll need the Replacement Lift Motor for Maxx Fan Plus Roof Vent # MA10-20270.

If this doesn't solve your issue then the next step would be to replace the circuit board with the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Powered Lift RV Roof Vents w/ Reversible Fan # MA10A21275K.
