I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR for your 2021 Toyota Highlander. It has a maximum trailer capacity of 5,000lbs and tongue weight capacity of 500lbs. Be sure to contact Toyota for your towing capacities and use the lower of these sets of numbers.

I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 for your Highlander. With the ball mount kit you get 2 separate ball mounts that will allow you to choose the best rise or drop necessary for your trailer. Also included are a 2" ball and a 1-7/8" ball to match your trailer coupler.

For the wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR as it will connect to the factory harness in your Toyota. The Mounting Bracket # 18144 will secure the 4-way end of the wiring to the tab on the Draw-Tite receiver to place the 4-way in an easy to locate secure location.
