For your 2014 GMC Acadia I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # BX1708. The hidden reinforcements, along with the removable bracket arms, provide a clean, unobtrusive look when your car is not being towed.
The other equipment you will need for flat towing your vehicle is a tow bar, tow bar wiring, a braking system, and some safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:
Tow Bar: Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6Klbs Item # DM9511012-BX. This tow bar has a non-binding feature that makes disconnecting on uneven surfaces easy. It also has a built-in rise/drop that minimizes the need for a high-low adapter.
Tow Bar Wiring: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit item # RM-154. This wiring kit is a one time setup that uses your vehicle's tail lights to signal instead of having to run magnetic lights every time you want to tow.
I recommend the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles # RM76514 to flip off your Acadia's ATC and ECM fuses as well as the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles # RM-76517for the BATT1 fuse. Otherwise you'll need to physically pull these fuses before towing and replace them when done.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # HM39524. This braking system is a quick setup and comes with a battery charger to keep your battery charged while towing your vehicle.
Safety Cables: The Demco tow bar I recommended comes with safety cables included so you won't have to purchase any separately.
