Integrated mounting points make it simple to attach an electrical connector bracket up front, keeping your wiring tidy and ready to plug in.
For those who like turning wrenches on their own rig, this is a manageable weekend project. The base plate bolts securely to the chassis using the included hardware—no welding needed. Clear instructions guide you through each step for a clean fit. 2019 Ford Ranger baseplate worked and fitted fine for me. 73 yrs old took me a couple hours but took many breaks. Younger could do it less than hour I'm sure.
Also works fine with my Blue Ox tow bar.

Great product, great price, great customer service.
Product promises installation in a couple of hours. So a 74 year old, in his asphault driveway in 95*F heat, took about 12 hours. But it is as easy as advertised and it performs flawlessly. the Hook up is easy and my Dutchstar coach towed my Acadia as if it wasn't even there. I particularly like the clean look after installation but that is mor a function of the car lines than the product.
Worked fine installation took time but went smoothly.

Photos are of 2013 Buick Enclave becoming our tow vehicle. We relocated the Roadmaster Invisibrake to the Enclave from our Subaru and installed new BX 1708 baseplate.

My Blue Ox Tow bar and Break Buddy System perform as advertised. I tow my Buick Enclave behind my 30’ class C with confidence.
I’ve bought 3 of these 2 for Mini Coopers and one for a GMC Acadia. Cars really aren’t designed to be towed, so that’s why the base plates have such an involved shape and fit. They aren’t easy to install and are somewhat difficult to force into position. If you’re thinking of installing one in your driveway a couple hours before work, you’re gonna be late. All that said the product does what it is supposed to do and is very secure.
George, just finished install of blue ox base plate on my 2015 Buick enclave not for the faint of hand to install but all is well if u are good take your time some caution when drilling lower frame holes as inner holes are close but excellent fit and finish thanks for a great product

Blue ox base plate is still great just a note for users you may need to lube the inside of the holes where the aluminum adapters for the tow bar connection is as one time I could not turn it to lock in for towing this solved the problem

We like the base plate but feel the two bars out the front are too close together. We get a little more sway because of this. Also the round bars that you[] into the base plate have corroded and look worse than the ones we used for 6 years. Very disappointing
