Question:

We have the referenced 5th wheel and would like to carry our Vespa 150 LXi on a carrier behind it. The trailer came with a factory-installed receiver hitch, 2, and is rated at 350 lbs tongue weight, 3500lbs. tow capacity. Is it advisable to mount a m-cycle carrier to the 5th wheel receiver hitch and if so, which carrier do you recommend? Thanks!

Yes, a hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier would be your best option for carrying your Vespa 150 scooter on your 5th wheel travel trailer. I think the best carrier for you is the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033. This is RV-compatible and has a built-in ramp to allow for easy loading or unloading. Front and rear wheel holders are adjustable to accommodate various sizes of motorcycle or scooter tires.

You will need tie-down straps to secure your scooter; I would go with Erickson Motorcycle and ATV Tie-Downs 1"x6' # EM05729 along with Motorcycle Assist Straps # 06303 to prevent scratching your scooter. I do recommend also adding a lock such as etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98882 to keep your carrier secured to the trailer hitch receiver.
