Sweet! Super easy to build and light enough to handle. I have to get a run at it because my truck is lifted and my hitch is high. I might build an extended ramp that will allow a shallower pitch for loading. Just a tip...figure out pin location by loading bike on the rack with it on the ground instead of trying to do it on vehicle the first time. In addition to load straps I also use large Velcro straps with built in carabineers on rims. I also use a anti sway U-bolt and plate to tighten rack to receiver hitch, that keeps everything pretty stable. Awesome product guys, thanks

The carrier was straightforward and easy to assemble. I have a 300lb. TW 200. The first time i ran it up the ramp, I used the motor and first gear. It took of bit of trial and error, but I finally got the placement on the "pins" where the front wheel drops in correctly. After that, the ramp was shallow enough where I just put the bike in "N" and ran her up and down a few times. I like the ramp. I really do...I just wish it was a BIT beefier. Some of the gravel, rutted, backwoods roads I take to ride might throw the bike around pretty good. I used thread lock where needed.

Great product and experience from the beginning!! We ordered it with the free standard shipping 5-7 days and I got an email saying they shipped it express 3-5 days at no extra cost!!! We received it really fast!! I also feel it is a great buy for the money!!! We haven't used it on our motor home yet but used it yesterday on our truck to pick up our new scooter. It worked perfectly! We also purchased the Anti-Tilt Bracket ANTI-REV-REV and I highly recommend it!! Without it there was a little wiggle but with it it didn't move at all. Can't wait to try it out on our first camping trip in the motor home!!!

Have you used it behind the motorhome? Do you dind that the ramp is not long enough?

This is exactly what I was looking for to haul my Kawasaki KLX300. Makes loading/unloading a breeze and beats trying to load into the back of my truck via a ramp. I was initially worried about stability, but now that I've hauled it on freeways and rough gravel roads I have no worries at all. Of course the best part of this is the eTrailer buying experience. Best customer service in the business.

I bought the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier to haul a 150cc scooter on the back of my RV (see photo). I received the item 2 days after I ordered it. All parts and directions were included. Assembly was simple. The overall quality of construction and powder coating is very good. Although the directions don’t say so, I would recommend “test fitting” your bike/scooter after the carrier is assembled and while it is still on the ground, in order to ensure the appropriate placement of the cross bolts and safety pins. I could not get the scooter on the carrier using the included 3’ ramp. It was too steep of an incline and the middle of my scooter got hung-up where the ramp meets the carrier platform. It tore off the plastic mud cover under the scooter and the ramp slid off the end of the platform. Fortunately, I was able to lift the scooter off the platform without further damage. I would highly recommend that (for safety) you have 2 people on hand during the initial installation. (I didn’t.) Once properly installed, it is a 1-man operation to load/unload the bike/scooter. I had to swing my right side rear view mirror in for clearance to the back of the RV. This would not be required for a pickup truck installation. I was able to get the scooter onto the carrier using a 6’ folding motorcycle ramp that I have. This made the incline much less steep and the scooter easily rolled onto the carrier in a one-man operation. Having to carry the extra motorcycle ramp is going to be a hassle, and it defeats the purpose of the included detachable/stowable ramp, but it’s the only way I can get the scooter loaded. I’m sure that the included 3’ ramp would be great for a dirt bike with higher clearance under the frame, but with a low slung scooter, it won’t work. The safety pins that are intended to go through the spokes of the front wheel do not work on my scooter’s 13” wheel. I tried adjusting the cross bolts as per the directions, but the configuration of my wheels just won’t work with these pins. I’m sure they would work with a dirt bike wheel. I used ratchet straps to hold the wheels securely in place in lieu of the pins. My scooter has a lot of plastic body parts, which makes it difficult to find secure tie-down points. I tied it down with 4 ratchet straps as documented in the photo and I took it on a test drive. I was able to watch the scooter on my rear-view video camera. It rode well. I am satisfied with the product, but I would not recommend it for scooters like mine. A longer ramp would make it more user-friendly for scooters. As is, it is best used for dirt bikes.

I was a little concerned that the lower price might reflect quality of this carrier, i was pleasantly surprised. This is a solid carrier easy to load easy to unload, I've been trying it for a while before i take a trip, and i almost forget its there. I went out and bought an extra 8" bolt because i only haul the one bike and do not need the tire diameter adjustability. The extra bolt keeps the front up on the rails and doesn't drop in until the last dip rather than in the last two dips. TIP: Get the ramp put back on right away before you fully strap the bike down, otherwise the strap hooks interfere with getting the ramp in place. GREAT PRODUCT, FAST SHIPPING, GREAT WEB SITE! Keep up the good work etrailer!

I have not used this on the road yet as I just installed it, but these are my initial impressions: Pros: 1. The build quality seems good and strong 2. The assembly was easy 3. It is relatively compact to store and mount, much better option then storing a trailer in my garage. 4. Cost is great. 5. Super easy to load the bike on and off. 6. It looks pretty awesome with the bike on it, and I can actually load the bike the night before and it still fits in my garage so I can leave early the next day. Cons: 1. The ramp is mounted on the same brace as the bike tie down hook. So getting it on and off while the bike is mounted is not the easiest, you can do it but you need to really wiggle it in. Ideally if you have two people you put the ramp in before you tie the bike down but its not always possible. 2. When the bike is loaded on the ramp without the tie downs, it does not stand on its own so you can walk around easily and tie it down. You need to do a balancing act to get it secured. This isn't really an issue with the ramp, and I'm not sure of a solution, but maybe something to consider if you plan on loading and unloading by yourself with a 60k SUV just moments away from a bike accidentally falling on it..

Product came just as pictured. Very easy to put together, less then 20 min. Test fit with a 2016 Husqvarna and it did great. I will be purchasing a hitch stabalizer because I will be going off road with it and don't want it to move at all. It has very minimal movement though. Overall very happy with product.

Had to assemble and was able to do so rather easily, however the instructions were a bit vague. It will work for what I want it to do. I am using it on the front of my pickup to carry a 50cc Vespa. I'm going to use an extra strap attached to my brush guard, pulling back, to ensure the scooter doesn't try to roll forward.

Assembly took 30 minutes. Pretty easy. Seems solidly built. Would recommend anti-wobble bracket to reduce/eliminate the hitch play. Haven't used it yet. Customer service(emails and followup) has been good. Good company it seems.

This worked great for my klr 650. I hauled it on the front of my truck across the country and back about 7,000 miles. Only problem is the ramp can fall off as you load bike. I had to use strap to keep it attached.

Used this carrier for my DR650, put it on my Equinox that I use as a TOAD behind my Coachmen Motirhome. Went from Waco, TX, to Taos, NM, to Douglas, AZ, to Tyler, TX - then back to Waco. Carrier held up great - no problems, and I can load and unload it with ease ( 71 years old )

I used this rack to pick up a new dirt bike (~250 lbs dry weight) that was 4 hour drive from my house. I used a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the bike loaded very easily when idled up onto the rack in 1st gear while walking beside it. Tons of clearance between the bike and the rear of the vehicle so no concerns there. The tie-down points work really well and the bike seemed very stable. I added a tensioning device to keep the rack from wobbling in the receiver, which I would recommend. Overall, I'm very satisfied, especially considering the great price on this rack. To provide a complete review, I will point out some things that I think could be improved: (1) Since the main tray is divided into two sections, it sags into a sort of frown shape after the bike is on for some time. This is due to the slop in the mounting holes where the support straps attach. This could be done better. (2) At least when the rack is empty, the ramp sort of clatters around in it's mount because there is quite a bit of play. I just threw the ramp inside my vehicle as it is pretty small.

Im still using this rack regularly and my initial review still stands.

The product was delivered quickly and was easy to assemble. Worked as advertised with no issues. The problem however was not with the product but the packaging. But don’t know who was responsible for the box to be all tore up and open on one end. But can’t ding the product because it worked just fine.

Nice little rack for use on the back of our small motorhome. I haul a Honda Grom 125cc street bike for errands, etc. I had to modify the rack by adding cross bars at each end with steel tie-down loops so that I could secure the bike better. With the stock, center tie-down points, the straps rubbed and would cause paint/finish damage. The wife was not crazy about "her" bike getting damaged. Otherwise, it works as advertised. I added a few additional washers here and there that I thought should have been included as well....

bought this carrier cause it said you could use it for scooters. I have a 2015 yamaha smax 150 scooter, it weighs 329 lbs well within the capability of the carrier. after carrying the bike 125 miles the rear tire side had sagged down a long ways. got bike off raised up that side retightened bolts. got back home with nothing breaking. but was sweating bullets. And it had sagged down again. this thing is really flimsy but in there defense it is designed for small motor cycles where the weight of the engine is centered over the center of the carrier. With a scooter all of the weight is on rear wheel where its weak and flimsy. etrailer should not recommend this flimsy carrier to scooter owners. I don't Know what to do with it now that I have tightened the bolts so much that the flimsy metal is distorted. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A SCOOTER. if either of the two bolts break on the support strap that end of your scooter is going into the street.

I cannot say enough about the fit and ease of install. The packaging was a little damaged, although the contents were pristine. I was able to install the hitch on my F350 without jacking up the front end. Few tools and a floor hydraulic jack, to hold the hitch in place while bolting up, was all I needed. I bought this 2" front end hitch receiver to carry bicycles, chairs, and a dirt bike depending on where my wife and I decide to go camping next. Living in Southern Maine, we enjoy camping in our Northern Lite truck bed camper from the White Mountains and into all parts Maine. George and Carol at etrailer were great in letting me know when the product shipped and extended themselves as support for any questions. Thank you for your support! And...glad we could support a Missouri business, as my wife grew up in St. Louis and a proud graduate of Mizzou!

I bought this item to transport a Honda Metropolitan 50cc scooter. Assembly was very easy, instructions were clear. I used it to transport the scooter 110 miles. Received the product within three days from ordering. Easy to assemble for left or right hand entry. Attached to our 35' Winnebago Sightseer to haul our Yamaha Vino scooter. First use was from Medina, Ohio to the Finger Lakes, NY. No issues, works perfect! The Anit-Tilt is a must as it prevents any wobble from the hitch and receiver!

All parts in the box. Install was easy, trimming air foil on week old truck took two deep breaths. Fun thing is putting bike rack on front and putting on folding beach chairs. No climbing in the bed of truck or slamming them on rough trails.

First, let me say that I dealt with two different people in placing my order. The reason being? I was trying to find a motorcycle rack that would accommodate my BMW G310GS (374 lbs curb weight) on the back of a Class C RV. I tried MANY different companies and NONE but etrailer came through for me. All of the previous companies - and there were lots said they couldn't help me, or couldn't recommend a rack for the back of a Class C RV. I was pretty frustrated at this point and when I found one on etrailer that looked like it might work, I was still paranoid that it wouldn't. The first person I worked with offered to call the manufacturer and verify it would be recommend for the back of a Class C RV. Now the amazing thing, they actually call back - that day! I couldn't take the call, so listen to a voice mail. When I called back I was dealing with a second person Meghan, who was dialed in on what I needed and how to get there. I also wanted an anti-rattle gizmo that goes inside your vehicle's trailer receiver. Wasn't clear to me exactly was the dimensions represented in relation to my vehicle. So......... Meghan was VERY patient as I literally went outside to my RV with a tape measure and we conferred on whether the part would fit my vehicle. Double Score: Rack that will work with my Class C RV and the anti-rattle gimzo. Great customer service, and humor to boot!! So.....I am very happy to anoint Meghan as my HERO OF THE DAY. Ya done good!

This weighs 51 lbs so you'd need to add the weight of this to the weight of the scooter to make sure you have enough capacity.

  • Recommended Motorcycle Carrier for Carrying KTM Adventure on Motorhome
I have a possible solution for carrying your KTM. The Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, part # UF48-979033 would be a good bargain-priced option. The carrier has a 500 lb capacity and the ramp is included. This carrier is only compatible with hitches that have a 500 lb or greater tongue weight capacity. The hitch should have a sticker on it that lists its tongue weight capacity. If the tongue weight capacity of your hitch is less than 500 lbs, you should not use this carrier. Using a...

  • Hitch Scooter Carrier for 2018 Honda PCX 150 Scooter for Use on Class B Motorhome
Any accessory that is to be mounted on the back of an RV - either a motorhome like your Class B or on a trailer or camper - has to be made and rated specifically for that type of use. The reason is that the greater distance between the axle and hitch on such vehicles means more leverage (and more stress) will be applied to that accessory item. On passenger cars the axle-to-hitch distance is much shorter, just a few feet, and this of course puts less stress on the items. You also want...

  • Motorcycle Carrier for 2017 Kawasaki KLR 650 At Back of 2017 Thor Motor Coach Gemini 23TR
The setup you are considering with the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier part # UF48-979033 would work great as it is RV approved, has more capacity than you'd need for the motorcycle, and also your hitch has more than enough capacity as well for the carrier and bike. The carrier weighs right at 50 lbs so you'd have 50 lbs of extra tongue weight capacity so you'd have a solid buffer in that regard as well.

  • Recommended Hitch-Mounted Motorcycle Carrier For New Honda Ruckus
The hitch mounted carrier I recommend for your Honda Ruckus is the Ultra-Fab, part # UF48-979033. In my research I found the Ruckus weighs about 195 lbs and has a wheelbase right at 50 inches. The rear wheel measures just over 5 inches on the Ruckus. The # UF48-979033 will hold a motorcycle that weighs up to 500 lbs. The track on this carrier is 5 inches wide on the inside and 77 inches long overall. It also features a ramp. For added security I recommend a hitch receiver lock like...

  • Compatibility of Motorcycle Carrier on Mid-Size Coupe or Sedan
A Toyota Camry is not able to carry that kind of tongue weight. The only hitches we have available have a max tongue weight rating of 200 lbs max. Then because it is a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, you would also need an expander like # HTAD that would reduce the weight capacity of the hitch by 50% leaving you unable to even carry 50 lbs. If you would like a confirmed fit for your Camry, I need to know the model year as it is a great option to tow your motorcycle with a trailer. The...

  • Hitch Mount 2 Wheeled Scooter Carrier Recommendation for a Motorhome
Trailer hitches on motorhomes and trailers are further away from the rear axle than trucks and SUVs. This creates additional movement and bouncing like the back seat on a school bus. Most motorcycle carriers cannot handle the excessive bouncing but we do have one option. The Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, # UF48-979033. This carrier is approved for use behind a motorhome and it has a weight capacity of 500lbs. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the...

  • Hitch Carrier for Yamaha Zuma 125 Scooter Compatible with Class C Motorhome
Any accessory carrier made for use on a motorhome or trailer does need to be constructed for that specific application. The reason is that the distance from a motorhome's rear axle to the hitch is typically much greater than that on a passenger car or SUV. That longer distance translates to more motion and stress applied to the hitch and to whatever device is installed in it, such as a scooter or dirt bike carrier. The issue with scooters as compared to a typical dirt bike is that the...

  • Can Motorcycle Carrier Be Mounted To Front Of A Motorhome
The Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 80" Long - 500 lbs # UF48-979033 can be mounted to the front of a 24V View Motorhome as long as the front mounted hitch is able to handle the vertical load weight of the Honda Rebel and the carrier combined weight of 391 lbs. The only other thing to consider is the front mounting can limit your view and should not block your headlights. To secure the carrier and the bike, I recommend the hitch lock # e98882 and the Master...

  • Scooter Carrier and Hitch Recommendation for RV with 4 inch Square Bumper
If you would like a motorcycle carrier that will work on a motorhome, I recommend looking at the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, # UF48-979033. We were informed by Ultra-Fab that it is okay to use this carrier on a motorhome or trailer. For a hitch to mount to your 4 inch bumper (assuming it is rated for the weight of your scooter and carrier), you would want the part # E-100. Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported...

  • Motorhome and RV Compatible Motorcycle Carrier
Most hitch mounted motorcycle carriers should not be used on a trailer or motorhome. If you would like a motorcycle carrier that will work on a motorhome, I recommend looking at the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, # UF48-979033. We were informed by Ultra-Fab that it is okay to use this carrier on a motorhome or trailer. The reason some hitch accessory manufacturers do not recommend using products on trailers or motorhomes is because the trailer hitch on a trailer or motorhome is further...
