Question:
I have a 2001 Ford F350 single wheel Super duty truck. On the drivers side next to the frame, behind the rear bumper, are two plugs. I figured they were for hooking up the trailer lights. One is smaller than the other, but I dont think either one is a seven pin plug to attach this part. I am wanting to hook up my lights without having to splice into the wiring when the plugs are possibly there already. Would this part number plug work, or is it a different part? Thanks for your assistance.

Based on how you described it, I'm guessing your 2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty needs a different part than the # C55774, but what does the plug look like? The correct 7-way is going to depend on that, as the Curt option you mentioned is a replacement 7-way, and has a round plug, while the other has a more square plug.
If you take a look at the accompanying photos, you can see the plugs for the two 7-ways that could work for your '01 F-350:
- Square Plug: Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way (Super Duty) # 118243
- Round Plug: Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C55774
So you'll want to compare the plug on your truck to find the correct option, and I have added links below to the installation instructions for both which you may want to check out as well.
I also do highly recommend using dielectric grease when plugging in these connectors, in order to help prevent corrosion and help extend their lifespan; for that you will need the Dielectric Grease # 11755.
