Question:

Hi Folks: I have a 2019 Jayco North Point 387RDFS, VIN Number: 1UJCJ0BV1K1LZ0123. The only information Jayco was able to provide regarding my brakes and wheel bearings is: This is a Dexter Axle AXLE,7000# D70-SBSA-86.00X 68.50-US-EZL-BRBU-8LUG-12X2 BRK W I am looking at the following products and would be grateful if you can tell me if I am ordering the correct parts for my Jayco. 1. Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12inch - Left and Right-Hand Assemblies - 7K Item # 23-464-465 Two sets 2. Bearing Kit, 14125A/25580 Bearings, GS-2125DL Seal Item # BK3-210 4 sets 3. Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12inch Brake Assemblies Item # BRKH12 Do I need the Mounting Bolts and Hardware Item 3 above or does that come with the brake assembly Item 1 above? Thanks very much.

The Dexter 7K hubs feature an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern, and use the 25580 inner/14125A outer bearing and 25520 inner/14276 outer race. They can either use the # GS-2250DL or the # GS-2125DL grease seals, so you'll want to pull one of the hubs and measure the diameter of the spindle where the grease seal rides. If the spindle is 2.125 inches, then you'd need the # GS-2125DL. If it's 2.25 inches, use # GS-2250DL.

The bearing kit needed will depend on that spindle diameter. If the journal surface of the spindle where the seal rides is 2.25 inches, use # BK3-200. If its 2.125, use the # BK3-210 you'd looked at. The bearing kits include the inner and outer bearing, inner and outer race, the grease seal, a tang washer and a replacement cotter pin.

The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust 12 inch brake assemblies you specified, part # 23-464-465 would be the correct brake assemblies for hubs used on a Dexter 7K axle. The mounting hardware is sold separately as part
# BRKH12 which is enough hardware to install 2 brake assemblies.
