trailer lights will not work , trailer lights are led i have a 2020 gmc truck

Expert Reply:

Since your new 2020 GMC Sierra is not able to detect the LED lights on your trailer you will need to use a Lamp Out adapter # C35FR if your trailer has a 4 or 5 way connector or # 20142 if your trailer has a 7-way connector.

These adapters have built in resistors that will allow your truck to detect the LED lights, and this is pretty common on new trucks due to the computers used to detect a trailer looking for a specific amount of resistance that the LED lights do not have.
