Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the 50 watt load resister kit for the LED turn signals. It is for a quantity of two resistors. Now these load resistors will prevent hyperflashing on your turn signals with LED bulbs. It's designed to work with most import and domestic vehicles. You can see they are a nice compact design.
They'll fit into tight spaces. These are compatible with 12 volt DC systems. They will surface mount behind your vehicle headlights and the connection plugs are included. The quick connect plugs, which will let you easily connect to your power source. A few specs again, it's two load resistors.
Wattage is 50 watts, electrical resistance is six ohms, and last thing I want to do is just give you dimensions on the resistor. The length on it, right at two inches long. The width, including the mounting brackets, it's right at one and a quarter inches wide. And the overall height of it is right at 11 16ths of an inch tall. But that should do it for the review on the 50 watt load resistor kit for the LED turn signals..
Fast shipping and good price for this item. And the shipping costs to Canada were very reasonable.
I haven't used the item. It was recommended by a friend that I order this as well as the trailer adaptor plug (which was excellent and reviewed separately) but turned out I haven't needed it with my current configuration. I've hung onto it because it will be needed for a trailer configuration on my second vehicle (once I get that sorted out).
Anyway, etrailer dot com had what I needed and will ship to my country. The costs of the item and shipping were IMO very reasonable. And the response to my order was super fast and efficient. Highly recommended.
Needed these to prevent GM hyperflash when installing my LED tail lights on the truck. Would be good to suggest these when those are added to the order...
Easy to install and fixed the problem,great product so far
This product fixed my trailer LED light issues while connected to my 2020 Silverado HD. I used 1 of these on each circuit to place proper load on circuit so that the truck would recognize the trailer was connected and allow the lights to function properly.

They didn't solve my problem my trailer lights still flash and in fact I had ti remove them because they made the problem more pronounced.

This is the second set I ordered. I replaced all my lights on my Toyota with LED's and the hyper flash issue came to light. I knew a resistor would work but didn't know exactly what to get. I called and as usual, etrailer was extremely helpful. The customer service lady suggested what to purchase and I did. The resister set arrived early which was wonderful, however in packaging they pretty much weaken the wiring as they fold them over to get them in the clam shell. Both resisters look pretty frail and I fear the wires will break eventually. I went ahead and installed them and unfortunately they only fixed my hazard lights, turn signals still hyper flash. I ordered a second set to put one at each corner. The packaging was the exact same. GGGGRRR. I have not installed these yet but I hope they fix my problem and the wires do not break. The set is affordable but my only complaint about etrailer is the shipping. I have had instances where it's cheaper to keep product then to return it.
Converted recently to LED lights on my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. Although the manufacturer assured me the LED replacement lights were simple plug-n-play & thus did not need resistors to prevent hyper-flash… WRONG, rear signals did not play well w/ others. Jesse M identified the correct resistor set, shipping was fast & the frustrating hyper-flash eliminated immediately. Thanks Jesse!
It was easy to install the resistor with quick connect clips, I wish there was some instructions with the packaging. I didn't know if it matters what side of resistor was connected to positive. I decided to just install them and fixed my hyper flashing the new led tail lights.
Installed LED lights on a 2010 RAM Truck and the turn signals were hyper flashing. Sent for the Load Resistor Kit and the problem was solved, easy install and support was great - did not need much support, only one question and they got back to me quickly. Great product, thank you.
The LED tail lights work as expected and easy to install. I didn't need the resistors but will keep them for possible
future needs.
