Question:

I have a Tyger roof basket and wanted to know if there are any attachments or mounts to put on the roof basket so that I can attatch a mountain bike?

Unfortunately the design of the Tyger roof baskets will not allow any accessories to be attached to the basket. A basket that would be able to handle accessories attached to the rack would be the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 40" Wide, part # Y07138. It comes with two adjustable accessory bars that can be used to separate your load or attach a bike rack to the basket. This basket is 44" long x 40" wide x 7" tall with a weight limit of 165lbs. It can attach to aftermarket roof racks and factory racks.

You could also put a roof bike rack next to your Tyger basket. My recommendation is the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack - Wheel Mount - Clamp On, part # Y02114. With this roof rack you will not have to remove your front wheel to carry your bike. This comes in handy after muddy mountain bike rides. In addition you will not have to worry about adapters to work with your front fork. It is fat tire compatible and it will work with wheel sizes from 26" to 29" wheels. The rack will lock to the roof of your vehicle and your bike will lock to the rack.
