How wide and tall is the mounting plate for this hitch? Just by scaling your picture, it appears to be 3.5inch wide and maybe 7inch tall? Please confirm. Thank you.

That is a pretty good guess!

The two position mounting channel in the # T1812200 is 3-1/2" wide x 7-1/2" tall as shown in the included diagram.
