Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Crossbar Function

Question:

I bought a roadmaster 520 falcon 2 tow bar for my 2018 jeep wrangler from you. Why do I need the crossbar? What is it for?

The Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520 comes with the full-length steel crossbar that will provide increased strength and support. You may or may not use this component depending on what base plate you are attaching it to i.e. a direct connect style vs a crossbar style. Tow bars have interchangeability than the base plates. Some vehicles will have base plates available in each design type while others may have only one design type available.
