Correct Vintage Style Hub Caps for 16" Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheels

Do you know if 16inch vintage auto hubcaps will pop on and stay on your 16x6 steel wheels? There are several older Cadillac hubcaps listed as 16inch from the 1950s to 1970s, which I am hoping would fit. They measure 16inch across to the outside, it looks like the stamped steel spring tabs that secure the hubcap to the rim measure around 15inch outside diameter. See attached photos.
