When you’re hauling the kind of weight that pushes trailer limits, the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel keeps things steady. With a 3,050-lb capacity at 90 psi and DOT-compliant construction, it’s tough enough for long-distance towing and high-pressure setups. The zero offset centers the load for balance and predictable handling mile after mile.
Moisture, salt, and grime can eat through lesser wheels fast. This one uses a black powder coat layered over an e-coat primer for excellent corrosion resistance. The smooth finish not only keeps rust at bay but also adds a clean, classic look that stays sharp through seasons of use.
No guessing at the bolt holes or hub size here. The 16" x 6" rim uses a standard 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, a 3.65" pilot diameter, and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts for straightforward fitment on typical trailer hubs. The zero offset and 3" backspacing make setup easy when matching to existing tires or brakes.
This conventional steel wheel is designed for use with modern tubeless trailer tires, so there’s no need to fuss with tubes or special parts. Heavy-gauge steel construction with precise machining gives it sturdy support under tubeless radial or bias tires designed for trailer duty.
No spokes, vents, or decorative cutouts—just solid steel built to haul. The conventional disc design means fewer surfaces to trap grime or hold corrosion, making it easier to keep clean and dependable over time. It’s a simple, strong setup that gets the job done every trip.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Very strong rims for extra heavy loads. Nice to have something made in the usa.
Thanks etrailer for fast shipping
I have had trouble finding the old six lug drums with the 3.5" spindle size, but its a perfect fit on old stock trailers. The rims also replace the old tube type rims with the ring exact fit.
This rim was very high quality . The bolt pattern was exactly correct, the paint looks new after 1 year. I would highly recommend this to anybody needing a trailer rim . the price can't be beat!
Fast shipping. Ordered two rims to replace O.E. rims on my 1962 Chevrolet C10 pickup that could no longer be found. One of the rims was perfect. The other has a slight wobble to it. and required a bit of weight. It was better than the extremely bent one I had on my truck, though, so it worked ok.
Second rim I've purchased from etrailer. Quality parts fast shipping and great customer service. I've bought many things from etrailer always good service and same quality as anyone else in marker.
Good affordable product. Had some issues balancing the tire and wheel at the tire shop. But that could be from the wheel or tire. Overall happy
I just got these wheels today and had new tires mounted soon after. The wheels appear to be well made with a nice thick gloss black powdercoat finish. No complaints by the tire shop techs.
For the price these are really good. Theyre heavy duty and the paint/powder coat is flawless. Shipping was fast, made it all the way across north america to western canada without a scratch. I wish everyone paid this much attention to customer service
Great product and timely delivery.
I needed good quality utility wheels to replace an old tube type rims, which were not compatible with tubeless tires. This wheel fit the bill perfectly. I also liked the idea that a black rim was the most pleasing for an old trailer (vs. white). The specifications on your website were spot on. I was able to pick the right wheel for my application with ease.
Very well made hard to find stock 16 inch trailer rim great price fast shipping I will by more in future these are stock rims not the cheap ones with all the holes in them
After looking around extensively for a heavy duty wheel for my 1954 Chevrolet 3100 farm truck project, I found the Dexstar AM20758 in 16x6 (used with Goodyear Wrangler Trail Runner 215/85R16 tires) with a 6x5.5 lug pattern. Not only does the wheel fit the truck perfectly (plenty of front steering tie-rod clearance, which is a problem area on these trucks for certain wheels) but once clips are added, the factory style hub-cap nests nicely in the wheel center. The black powder-coating is very nice and looks great and I used the AM20906 Americana, metal bolt-in valve stem which works perfectly as well and doesn’t protrude past the edge of the rim. Something to keep in mind on these trucks is that the lug studs are 7/16” while these Dexstar wheels are made for 1/2” lug studs. As I’m upgrading the factory 1/2 ton lug studs to larger 3/4 ton lug studs, everything works just as it should. This is a great, original-looking wheel for these tr ucks with modern construction and quality.
This is my 3rd identical wheel to order from e-trailer. This one is going to replace my spare. My old gooseneck had 3 split- wheel rims which no one will replace tires on them any more. The previous 2 wheels were excellent replacements and now that the tire on the spare split-rim went bad, I now have wheels that people will change tires on. Thanks.
Great wheels, just what I wanted. Received in 4 working days.
I'm really happy with the wheels. They fit an old crappy Chevy 4WD truck perfectly!
Item was exactly as described and arrived in perfect condition. Etrailers is the go to place for hard to find items.
These wheels are great but be sure to budget for special stems if you are runnung higher pressures. Talk to the MFGR to better understand the issue.
I was replacing the tires on my old trailer and found that one of the rims was a 15" instead of 16" like the other three. So I purchased this rim for the new 16" tire I had. It blends in with the other old rims and fits perfect. Was delivered the next day after I was notified that it had ben shipped.
Fit and finish on these wheels is exactly what I was looking for. Very much an upgrade from my old wheels.
Bought to mount a spare so not much to tell since it hasn't been used
Delivered on time as communicated
Great price and fast shipping.
Planning to use these on my 1968 C10 6 lug truck. Using some 215/85 16 tires
The wheels hold the later model Chevy hubcaps perfectly (73+?)
Rims came in on time and they look great
After searching for replacement 16” wheels for my 1946 Truck for years, I heard about your company. These wheels allow me to run modern radial tires that look just right without being 8-12” wide. Highly recommend for the old car hobby.
