Question:

I have a 2021 Toyota Tacoma and I want to put a brake controller on it. The my truck has a hitch with a seven and four connectors on it. Could you help me and tell which one is good, I looked at Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller. Also is there a cable that need to buy from the brake controller to the hitch wiring? Thanks

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR you were looking at is a great choice for your 2021 Toyota Tacoma due to only the control knob being visible once installed which makes it look like a factory option.

To install the # RED24FR in your vehicle you will need the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED99FR which will plug into the factory trailer brake controller port underneath the dash of your Tacoma and will not require any splicing.

In addition I recommend using the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-007 as it is confirmed to replace one of the blank switches on the left side of your dash so you will not need to drill any holes.
