Question:

hello, I have a 2011 Subaru Impreza hatchback 2.5i. I see your Item # 306-X7261 come up as compatible. However the webpage for that product shows quad exhaust as a note and when I download the instructions, it refers to the WRX models. Our Subaru has a single exhaust with a muffler that hangs laterally right where I would expect the hitch receiver to hang. Can you confirm the correct hidden hitch item # for our vehicle? Also, do you have any photos of the hitch without receiver on a 2011 Impreza 2.5i? My wife is insisting on the hitch being fully hidden when not in use, so I would like to confirm that before ordering. Many thanks

I may have another option for you, but the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7261 you were looking at will only fit the 2008-2011 Subaru Impreza 5-door Wagon with the Quad Exhaust and will not work on your Impreza as your vehicle only has the single exhaust.

The only trailer hitch receivers available for the single exhaust models will be visible and do not have a removeable receiver like the # 306-X7261. Of the available options I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # DT24959 which is confirmed to fit your vehicle and has a 200lb tongue weight rating and 2000lb trailer weight rating making it a great choice for carrying a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or even light duty towing.

If you can tell me what you are planning on using your trailer hitch receiver for, there may be an alternative.
