Question:
I have a 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i 4 door sedan that I would like to put a 2inch hitch on, but there do not seem to be any products. Put in my car in your website and it brought up this hitch. However, it states it is for the WRX. Do you know if it would work on my vehicle? Thanks.

At this time there is not a 2 inch hitch option available for your 2008 Subaru Impreza sedan from any of our manufacturers. The EcoHitch # 306-X7261 is a fit for the WRX models, but is not compatible with your Sedan. I reached out to the manufacturer and although they haven't tested it for a fit, they think the frame would line up but the trim would be an issue.
There is not a 2 inch option available for your vehicle as it has a very limited capacity, so only Class I hitches like # C11317 will be compatible. The # C11317 will require the stabilization strap # 18050 to stay within the manufacturer warranty for any accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
There is a hitch expander # HTAD that is compatible with class I hitches, but it will reduce the tongue weight of your hitch by 50% before adding the carrier or any accessory. This will immediately limit your capacity to 100 lbs before adding a carrier so there will be limited compatibility.
I've linked the pages to these products and have attached videos to assist.
