I would be happy to recommend an electric over hydraulic disc brake setup, but you will need to verify which bearing combination your spindle uses.
The easiest way to do this is by removing one of your current hubs and looking for the bearing numbers stamped in the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.
If your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the bearing numbers you will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to precisely measure you spindle according to the included diagram.
For example the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Hub/Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet/KodaGuard - 5,200 to 6,000 lbs # K2HR526DKG which has the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern you are looking for uses inner bearing # 25580 and outer bearing # 15123 so if this matches your bearing combination this would be a great option.
For an electric over hydraulic actuator I recommend the HydraStar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # HS381-8067. You will need to either lockout your current surge brake actuator or replace it with a standard coupler.
To complete your electric over hydraulic brake conversion you will need to to have a 7-way connector and trailer brake controller compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes in your tow vehicle. A great trailer brake controller compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. If you are missing either of these components just let me know the Year/Make/Model of your tow vehicle and I would be happy to recommend everything you will need.
If you can tell me your bearing combination I would be happy to recommend the correct disc brakes for your trailer.
I included a few video reviews for you to take a look at.
