Upgrade your triple-axle trailer from drum to hydraulic disc brakes. This DeeMaxx kit includes Maxx-coated 12" hub/rotors, a fast 1,600 psi electric-over-hydraulic actuator, and a complete brake line setup designed to work together.
Triple-axle trailers carry serious weight, and drum brakes can struggle with heat and consistency. This kit replaces them with DeeMaxx 12" integral hub-and-rotor assemblies designed for 6,000 lb axles. Vented rotors with drainage holes shed heat and moisture, while ceramic pads and stainless steel pistons provide smooth, controlled braking even at highway speeds.
If you launch in fresh or brackish water or tow through road salt, corrosion becomes a real concern. The Maxx coating on the hub-rotor, caliper, and bracket offers over 1,000 hours of salt spray resistance. Combined with built-in rotor drainage, this helps extend brake life and reduce rust compared to standard finishes.
The included electric-over-hydraulic actuator converts your in-cab brake controller signal into hydraulic pressure up to 1,600 psi. It reaches 1,000 psi in just 3/16 of a second for quick response. The extruded aluminum housing helps manage heat, while upgraded seals and a sealed reservoir reduce contamination risk. A rotating brake line fitting allows flexible mounting on the frame or inside a compartment.
The included brake line kit is configured specifically for triple-axle trailers. DOT- and SAE-compliant rubber hoses are easier to route than rigid steel lines and work well with torsion axles and foldaway tongues. Brass tee and cross fittings, loom clamps, and mounting hardware help you secure and protect the system along the trailer frame.
Disc brakes eliminate many of the springs and internal parts found in drum systems. The 1-piece hub-and-rotor design reduces the chance of uneven wear from trapped moisture, and laser-etched bleeding instructions on the calipers simplify future service. Fewer moving parts mean less adjustment and more consistent braking over time.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at our DMAX Disc Brake Kit with included Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers. As you can see, I don't have all six of these on the table. I will open an image of everything you're gonna get. You're gonna get all the hardware, the brake lines, actuator, and of course the rotor kits there with the calipers, the brake pads, and the rotor bracket.
And of course all your bearings, raised seals, everything like that. I did wanna throw that up there and just kind of show you what you're gonna get. Now again, you're gonna get six of these. They are slotted, so you're gonna have lots of cooling power built in here. Everything is slotted, and it's just a really nice rotor that you're gonna get here included, again, times six.
And then of course all your bearings. The race is already pressed in from the factory. Your seal, your lug nuts, everything here as far as your five bolts for the caliper brackets. Your grease cap here with the rubber plug there. That way if you have easy loop spindles, you can easily pop them out to grease everything up.
And of course you're gonna get the heavy duty actuator. And everything here is going to handle, again, a triple axle trailer. And the coating on here is their Max coating. So it's very corrosion resistant. It's rated for over a thousand hour salt spray rating.
So great in winter and marine applications alike. And the hover rotors are one piece. So this is gonna be a great option for you as well. It's gonna reduce uneven wear and minimize internal corrosion and just make it a stronger overall kit. And of course your brake lines, everything here is flexible in the brake line hoses, our brake hoses and that's gonna be easy to route stuff. And of course all your hardware for mounting all the different components. You got self-tapping screws, you got the block assembly there that are made out of I believe copper. Don't quote me on that. And those are gonna be great for not corroding and everything as well, along with your clamps here for holding the hoses and everything in place. So again, it is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern and the rotors are 12 inch rotors. So make sure that you're double checking those bearing numbers and everything again to be sure you're getting all the right parts for the first time. And as always, if you have questions about anything here on the table, if there's anything I missed that you need answers, reach out to us. We're more than happy to assist you. And before we go, if you don't want to tackle the install yourself, reach out to us here at etrailer. We can help find someone local in your area based on our locator tool on our website. You can enter your zip code and we can help find someone in your area that can do the install. I'm Steve with etrailer. Thanks for watching. And stay safe while you're towing.
Best upgrade to our 5th wheel. I will do this to every trailer I ever own. The install was straight forward if you have some mechanical knowledge and experience.
Just traveled 800 miles after installing the disc brakes. Stopping distance is half of what it was. So pleased!
Excellent customer service. All of my questions were answered. All of parts arrived the very next day. Parts appear to be of high quality.
We had a rough start getting the right brakes for our Brinkley Z3100. However after ETrailer realized they made an error on the order they were right on top of it, doing everything they could do to make it right. Their people are great, kind, well informed in their products, and communicate very promptly. E Trailer will be my go to supplier for RV, and Trailer needs.
You will not be disapointed with their customer care!
Easy installation, work so much better than stock drums. Some brake pad noise under lite braking.
Really surprised how quickly parts came. One box looked pretty rough, but all parts appear to be there. Will know more after install and put a few miles on the trailer.
The first order I made was incorrect due to my mistake, but Amy took care of it had the correct items sent out with the wrong items returned. Everything was very smooth.
Have a 2024 Brinkley camper. Barley felt the drum brakes work. Camping in Colorado and the Black Hills was a little stressful with little brake help from the camper. Winter here. I've only took the camper on a test drive (20 miles) with the new disc brakes. They work awesome! All the brake power you need from the camper now.
I ordered the wrong brake kit at first. I needed 9/16" bolts instead of 1/2". Ashley from E-tailer got what I needed coming and gave ups the pickup label right after I called. Thank you Ashley!
As for the brake install. Fairly easy. Not fun, but easy. The hardest part was running and securing the brake lines. And maybe the wiring up the actuator. Instructions were great. Just a little intimidating the first time. Next time will take half the time to do. But I no plains for the next time! Also make sure your brake controller can change to elec. over hdy. Luckily my 2023 F350 did and was easy to change on the screen.
Thank you again Ashley!!
Etrailer to the rescue! Extremely high quality direct replacement for DeeMaxx EOH kit DE66AR offered on this site. Our original got damaged after a bearing failure. I actually cary a spare set of bearings which allowed us at a minimum to limp our RV home and avoid an expensive tow. Now I will replace the damaged parts.
I have towed my 16,000lb fifth wheel over 12,000mi since installing the disc brake system. The braking power and control is vastly improved with the disc brakes over the drum brakes. I am certain that I avoided a major accident because of the disc brake system. The kit had everything I needed and the customer service was great.
